The award recognizes outstanding young healthcare professionals who demonstrate excellence in patient care, leadership, community service, education, advocacy, innovation, or dedication to improving the health and well-being of our community.

You are invited to submit a nomination for the Greater Bridgeport Medical Association (GBMA) Future of  Healthcare Award honoring healthcare professionals under the age of 40 who live or work in the Greater Bridgeport region, including Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford, and Trumbull.

Eligible nominees may include, but are not limited to:  Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, EMTs and Paramedics, Pharmacists, Dentists, Psychologists, Physical Therapists, Social Workers, Public Health Professionals, and other allied healthcare professionals.

Nominees should demonstrate a strong commitment to their profession, leadership within the healthcare community, and a dedication to improving the lives of patients and residents throughout the Greater Bridgeport region.

Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Award recipients will be notified in advance of the event. The awards ceremony will be held on the evening of Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 5:30 PM at the Fairchild Wheeler Golf Course in Fairfield.
