The Greater Bridgeport Medical Association (GBMA) will host its annual Irish Breakfast on Friday, March 13, 2026, at 7:30 AM at The Castle in Black Rock, located at 3171 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. This cherished event celebrates and honors distinguished healthcare professionals from across the region.

Founded in 1893 by resolution of the Connecticut General Assembly, the Bridgeport Medical Association—now the Greater Bridgeport Medical Association—has a long-standing legacy of fostering physician fellowship and service to the community. Today, GBMA supports scholarships for high school students pursuing careers in healthcare and recognizes excellence in nursing and medicine at its Annual Meeting each May.

The Irish Breakfast serves as an important fundraiser to support these efforts while bringing together colleagues and community leaders in a spirit of celebration and gratitude. This year’s honorees included Harry Cronin, MD; Charles ‘Jerry’ Hemenway, MD; Maureen C. Pelletier, RN; and State Representative Kaitlyn Shake.
